Fabric

1.   Will the suits or shirts shrink?
答:

This depends on the fabric materials of the particular item as well as the treatment and cleaning processes it goes through. If you are particularly concern about the problem of shrinkage, it is advised that you select fabric materials that are less sensitive to heat such as synthetic fibers. You can find information regarding the treatment processes to reduce the chances of shrinkage in Question 4.

2.   What is the shrinkage rate?
答:

The shrinkage rate varies amongst different clothing items, because whether the composition of fibers is tight or loose is dependent on the fabric materials. For example, pure cotton fabric has the highest rate, which is approximately 8 – 10%.

3.   What can be done to reduce shrinkage to the minimum?
答:

The best way to prevent or reduce shrinkage is to understand what makes your clothes shrink and how to avoid it. The following are some causes of clothing shrinkage during its cleaning and treatment process:

Heat- The effects of heat are not limited to dryer, because direct sunlight, hot water and steam pressing can also cause cotton or certain fibers to shrink.

Natural fibers- Natural fibers are especially susceptible to shrinkage compared to synthetic fibers. Even a standard cycle wash from your washing machine may pull the fibers tighter and cause it to contract, hence leading to shrinkage.

Dryer settings- Avoid the heavy-load setting in your dryer during washing to eliminate the chances of having the clothing exposed to intense heat.

Furthermore, it is important to read the suit label carefully to ensure the best possible cleaning and treatment process. For other information or more details regarding the drying processes, you may visit our garment care page.

6.   Are the garments anti-wrinkling?
答:

Some of the garments have an outer coating that is mainly composed of polyester. You may wish to specify this requirement when ordering your garment items, for example, suit pants.

7.   Which fabric should be chosen for suits?
答:

Pure worsted wool fabric:

Such fabric is made of 100% wool, often rather thin, and has a thick with plumped and soft surface. The texture is soft yet elastic. No permanent or obvious wrinkles will appear after being held. This is a high-end fabric for suits, and is often used for producing Winter clothing items. However, it will easily get pilling on its surface.

Woolen wool fabric / high portion of wool blended fabric-

Such fabric type is made of wool in higher majority, mostly thick texture, with a plumped and soft surface. Its soft and fuzzy appearance differs from the crisp and smooth appearance that of the worsted wool fabric. Woolen fabric has a heavier weight, and is usually not as durable as worsteds. This type of wool is usually used in Autumn and Winter suits.

Wool-like fabric-

This type of fabric material has a glossy dark color and soft texture. Due to its poor elasticity, wrinkles are rather easy to occur and are difficult to be removed. Such fabric is likely to turn harder and thicker after being exposed to moisture; therefore, wool-like fabric is a low-end fabric choice.

Polyester blended fabric-

Polyester blended fabric has a glittering surface under the sun. It is stronger and less wrinkle than pure wool fabric but lacks the soft feeling in terms of texture. It is considered to be a low to middle-ranged fabric for suits.

Rayon or cotton blended fabric-

Such fabric has a glossy dark color. Its elasticity and stiffness are not as good as that of the pure wool fabric; however, its price is usually easy care and is more comfortable to wear. This is considered to be a mid-ranged fabric for suits.

8.   Are special requests considered in your production of clothing items?
答:

Yes. If you have any special requests, please ensure that you clearly address all details of the request when making the purchase. Please note that most changes cannot be made after the production process has already started.
